How to Volunteer

Registering with our volunteer database

If you or your organization would like to assist with Crisfield's clean up and recovery from Hurricane Sandy, there are lots of opportunities for you. These include

Participating in a community clean up day
Joining a work crew to clean out and repair damaged homes
Sorting donated goods
Serving food or distributing clothing
Participating in intake and community needs assessments
Clerical / work - anyone with a laptop and Microsoft Excel can help us track our progress

We do not have the ability or staff to respond to individual calls from unaffiliated volunteers. We will continue to post information abut the next community clean up day and other volunteer opportunities on this website.

Volunteer Intake Form

All volunteers must complete and sign a release form, which you can view and print here.

Affiliated Volunteers/Build Teams

Any build team or “ERT” should have the head of their organization contact our Operations Director, Karen Riggin, in advance of their planned trip. They should provide their skills, size of the team, name of team members, and desired dates. All teams should pre-register before coming to Crisfield.

Affiliated build teams/ERTs who do not as of yet have a presence in Crisfield should have the leader of their organization contact Karen Riggin at operations@crisfieldrecovery.org or by calling 443-859-3502.
